Cell Positioning Tapes

Cell Positioning Tape or Cell Fixing Tape or Cell Holding Tape is made up with polyester film carrier coated with specially formulated UV resistant acrylic adhesive. It is designed for outdoor UV-cutting application where most of the UV light will be absorbed, so as to impart good light stability. In particular, it is used to position the solar cells before heat sealing.

Application Usage:

Used for holding up the solar cell in position to prevent their displacement during EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) film encapsulation process.

Secure cells during melt process without discoloring or affecting cell performance.

Protecting UV sensitive areas during high UV radiation operations such as solar cell position.

It is used to fix the battery and prevent displacement When the solar panels are being laminated.

Features:

PET film that is thin and superior in flexibility.

Adhesive offers good balance of tack and adhesion with excellent shear strength.

Tape may not bond or conform to rough or sharply curved surfaces.

Adhesive will not bubble, blister, discolour, or affect the cells performance during the melting or evacuation process,

Adhesion and holding power are reduced at elevated temperatures.
